A month down the time, from 19th July 2021 onwards, lakhs of students of age 15 to 16 will appear for their SSLC examinations in Karnataka. During this time, it is absolutely necessary to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and security of the children. Students must wear protective masks along with maintaining social distancing and hygiene norms at exam centres.
To ensure the safety of every child appearing for the exam, Right To Live in association with Rotary Bangalore Spandana, Rotary District Literacy team and Rotary Disease Prevention team will be providing about 1.4 lakhs of N95 face masks to the children appearing for the examinations in Rural Areas of RID 3190 limits.
The cost of a mask including packing and posters would be Rs. 5.25 and the total quantity required is 1.4 lakh. SSLC examination Board has officially placed a request to provide the masks to students. With a collective effort from teams mentioned above, we are providing the masks in Rural districts - Bangalore Rural, Ramanagara, Mandya, Tumkur, Kolar, Chikkaballapur & Chamarajanagar (on education board's request)
We seek your earnest support to provide face masks to rural students, so they write their exams safely and protected from the COVID-19. The masks will be symbolically received by Education Minister Suresh Kumar. Clubs will then hand over to the respective BEO offices to distribute to students at the examination centres.
Since examinations are so very near - on July 19th, we have to gear up to reach out to the BEO offices by 14th July. We are only left with a couple of days to fundraise, procure and pack. So request swift the action in this regard.
