11-year-old Reehan Khan is suffering from chronic kidney disease and is in urgent need of funds for his kidney transplant. He is currently on dialysis and needs an immediate kidney transplant.
Reehan Khan is from the Kolar district of Karnataka, India. He is the single son of Naziya Khanum and Liayakath Khan. Tragedy struck them first when his father passed away from the family; and again when Reehan Khan was studying in the third standard, he started getting abdominal pain frequently and his mother took him to the nearest hospital in Kolar. After the initial diagnosis, the doctors confirmed that both kidneys have failed.
Reehan’s mother is the donor!
After several tests, the medical staff has confirmed that his mother is a good match to donate her kidneys.
Received CM Funds!
Javeed applied for CM funds for the kidney transplantation and fortunately, the appeal got approved!! This fund will be sufficient for the surgery.
However, before he can go ahead with his transplantation, both Reehan Khan and his mother need to undergo several test and HLA typing which will cost approximately Rs 35,000/-
The only reason why Reehan's transplant is being postponed is the lack of funds for pre-treatment. The poor mother is unable to raise the required funds for his transplant.
How Right to Live is Helping:
As per our background verification, Reehan’s mother is economically poor, and cannot afford the cost of his treatment. We, at Right to Live, are trying to do our bit by raising funds for his treatment. We request you to come forward and support Reehan for his treatment. If things go as planned, Reehan can be back to school by next year and continue his education to be the ray of hope for his family.
Please remember: 100% of your donation goes to Reehan’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses, since those costs are covered by trustees. The payment is only ever released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands.
