Help the People of Bagepalli Quench Their Thirst With Clean Drinking Water

Water water everywhere – Not a clean drop to drink?

Help the people of Bagepalli quench their thirst with clean drinking water

Can you imagine drinking contaminated dirty water on daily basis? Being exposed to a number of deadly diseases every day?

Well, this is what the people of Bagepalli Taluk in Chikkaballapur District, go through every single day.

Bagepalli taluk constitutes 228 villages (with a population of 183,498 people) and is considered as one of the most backward regions in the state of Karnataka.

Poor water quality in the region has been a prevailing issue in the Taluk. It has been five years since the region has witnessed a good rainfall, giving people no choice but to drink from wherever they can. People are struggling to find safe drinking water in the area.

Although Right To Live has managed to touch upon the educational concern by setting up E-Learning classrooms in 5 government schools, we need your help to provide the region with clean drinking water.

Old borewells are the major source of drinking water, which is majorly contaminated with high amounts of fluoride.  As a result, children are suffering from dental fluorosis to varying extent.

We have done a thorough research and propose to install Reverse Osmosis Plants in a few villages.

We need your support to execute the plan and provide the people of Bagepalli Taluk with water that they can drink without falling sick every other day.

Installation Of 2 Reverse Osmosis Plant

Based on our assessment at the Taluk, Right To Live proposes to setup Reverse Osmosis Plants (RO Plants) at Kolimpalli and Madipalli Villages.

This is expected to benefit over 1,600 families who are badly affected by contaminated drinking water.

The overall estimated budget of the project is INR RS 9,53,000/-
