Helped Cancer Survivor Deepika

Help breast cancer survivor Deepika for post-operative

Deepika S Mundhekar, aged 43 is undergoing treatment for breast cancer (Grade II) at Holy Spirit Hospital, Andheri (East), Mumbai since May 2018.

Deepika was leading a normal life with her husband and two beautiful daughters until April 2018, when she started complaining about symptoms like pain and lumps near the breast. With the support of her husband, she consulted Holy Spirit Hospital, Andheri (East), Mumbai, where she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Recently she underwent a surgery with the help of the financial support extended by her husband, which is not enough since she still requires continued treatment costing approximately INR 3,10,000/-. The doctors have suggested that she should undergo at least 8 sessions of chemotherapy.

The total expenses incurred till date are INR 6 lakhs (includes surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy) followed by PET scan costing approximately INR 0.25 lakhs. Deepka’s husband is able to manage the expenses by borrowing from his friends / relatives, since he is unemployed since April 2018.

We have done a background verification and learnt that Deepika’s husband was working with M/s. Hindustan Dorr Oliver Limited – Mumbai, as DGM, Finance & Accounts since 2006. The company had gone into liquidation and an Insolvency Resolution Professional (IRP) was appointed by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in April 2017, who failed to bring any investor for the revival of the Company in the stipulated time. An order was therefore passed by the court for liquidation. Deepika’s older daughter has completed her MBA (HR) in and has recently joined Sudershan Chemicals, while her younger daughter is pursuing graduation in Commerce.

How Right To Live is Helping:

As per our background verification, Deepika is economically poor, and cannot afford the cost of her treatment. We, Right To Live team, are trying to do our bit by raising funds for her treatment. We request you to come forward and support Deepika for her treatment to help her regain her normal physical health.

Remember that 100% of your donation goes for Deepika’s treatment. Since the administrative costs are covered by trustees, we would not and do not use any part of your donation for anything else other than the patient’s treatment. The payment is only ever released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands and complete transparency is maintained.
