Helped Damodhar get dialysis

Meet Damodar, he is 47-year-old and owns a small shop at Sullia where he earns a living to support his children who goes to school and his wife. 2 year ago their whole lives were thrown upside down when he learned both his kidneys failed!

Now he has to undergo dialysis for 3 days in the week which cost him almost 1500 rupees including an eighty-kilometer travel to the nearest dialysis center. Besides the dialysis cost, he has to take regular medicine to improve his immunity and blood counts.

At present, his wife is only one breadwinner of the family, who works as a beedi labor. Damodhar is originally from Sullia taluk (near Mangalore) of Dakshina Kannnada. 2 year back Damodhar started having symptoms like stomach pain, decreased urine output and giddiness.

One day, he collapsed due to fatigue and his family members took him to the local hospital. After all diagnostic test, he was referred to the Indiana Hospital, Mangalore where he was told both his kidneys failed. He is currently undergoing dialysis for 3 days in the week at KVG Hospital, Sullia.

How Right to Live is Helping:

As per our background verification, Damodar is economically poor, and cannot afford the cost of his treatment. We at Right to Live, are trying to do our bit by raising funds for his treatment.

Remember that 100% of your donation goes to the patient’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses, since those costs are covered by trustees. The payment is only ever released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands.
