Helped Tejaswi Come Back To Her Normal Life!

29-year-old Tejaswi, a mother of two and a half years’ old twin daughters has been in a coma for six months due to a rare condition related to epilepsy which struck her in April 2018.   She is still completely bed-ridden, unable to talk, walk or eat on her own. However, she is aware of the environment and tries her best to gesture to make her needs known. She is full of hope of recovery, and her husband is waiting for the day she will be able to laugh and play with her twin daughters. The Ayurvedic Doctors treating her now have given assurance that she will steadily improve and be able to live a fairly normal life in due course of time.

With the help and loans from extended family, friends and known people, her husband has spent almost 25 lakhs for her treatment. The medical insurance covered just Rs. 2 lakhs of the total cost. Her husband is working in Bangalore in a private company, staying away from his ailing wife and daughters to make the ends meet for the treatment and for the future of their daughters.

Tejaswi needs continued treatment for related to epilepsy - medicines called anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) and surgery to remove a small part of the brain that's causing the seizures. This treatment is estimated to cost about Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. The treatment is being done at Apollo Hospital.

How Right To Live is helping:

As mentioned above, Tejaswi ’s family members cannot afford the cost of this treatment. ‘ Right To Live’ the team is trying to raise funds for her continued treatment.

Please remember that 100% of your donation goes to Tejaswi’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses since those costs are covered by our trustees. The payment is released directly to the hospital and not given to the patient either. So, please come forward and lend a helping hand in supporting Tejaswi to receive proper medical treatment.
