The COVID-19 has affected thousands of lives across the globe, and the world has never seen such disruption since WWII. In the midst of such a dire calamity, the front line healthcare workers are working tirelessly day and night in treating the affected persons. However, there is a need for severe preventive measures for these healthcare workers - like doctors, nurses and other staff -- to keep them safe and healthy to serve the patients.

Hospitals need huge quantities of protective gear and equipment. In Victoria Hospital alone, a team of 1500 plus doctors and support staff is fighting the pandemic. If even one of them gets infected, then that unit's entire team of doctors and staff are quarantined for 14 days.

Rotary Bangalore Spandana has discussed with Government Hospitals about their urgent requirements and wishes to provide 5000 units of N95 masks, 100 Liters of hand rub sanitizers and 250 units of protective suits with a total budget of ₹10,00,000/-.
