Bangalore (India) – August 04, 2021 – Right to Live, a fast-growing NGO working on transforming lives through quality education and healthcare, today inaugurated a computer lab at the Government Girls PU College in Basavanagudi. The event was attended by senior executives from Mindtree and Right to Live, along with Deputy Director Pre University South Division.

As part of their digital literacy program for underprivileged children, the Bangalore based NGO has partnered with Mindtree, a global technology services and digital transformation company, to setup computer labs in select colleges by providing infrastructure support. Mindtree has donated desktops and laptops to the Government PU Colleges in Malleswaram, Basavanagudi, and the Government Polytechnic Institute in Chintamani, and plans to set up computer labs in 10 more colleges subsequently.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dayapatra Nevatia, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Mindtree, said, “We believe that education is a foundational step towards self-sustenance and its continuity is essential to ensure equitable opportunities. We are happy that through our contributions and partnership with Right to Live we are able to drive digital inclusion at the grass root level and enable students to learn better and equip themselves to be future-ready.”

Mr Raghuram Kote, Founder Trustee of Right to Live (Kote Foundation), said, “Partnering with Mindtree reaffirms our belief that community service must be integrated with sustainable business strategy. We are confident that Mindtree’s focus on education and sustainable livelihood, and our vision to improve the well-being and academic outcomes of underprivileged children will converge for the greater good of our communities.”

Right to Live has also partnered with BYJUs, India’s leading Ed-Tech service provider, to setup smart classrooms in 50 government schools across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Additionally, as part of their long-standing relationship with other global MNCs such as CISCO, Nasdaq, Microsoft, IBM, OCWEN, Wipfli – to name a few, Right to Live continues to provide laptops, scholarships, career counselling, one-on-one mentoring, and cover treatment costs for serious ailments of students.
