Ajay Shanbhag, a 16-year-old young boy, is a resident of Byndoor Taluk of Udupi district in the state of Karnataka. Ajay has been suffering from Hypersplenism (overactive spleen) since birth. Owing to the severity of this illness he stopped going to school earlier this year.
After a detailed consultation with a specialist at the KMC Hospital, Mangalore, he has been informed that his liver is enlarged and he needs surgery with immediate effect. This is an expensive surgery costing 10 lakhs.
Ajay comes from a financially disadvantaged family. His father, who earlier worked at a hotel, is currently unemployed and his mother is a homemaker. They have a small agricultural land which is their only source of livelihood. Thus, the family is now facing difficulties in gathering the required money for their son’s treatment.
How Right To Live is helping?
Owing to his humble economic background, he needs financial assistance. Given the enormity of the cost associated with the treatment and subsequent surgery, considering the lack of resources in hand, Right To Live is helping the family to gather the required fund.
Please remember: 100% of your donation goes to Ajay’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses since those costs are covered by trustees. The payment is entirely released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands.
Right To Live requests your kind cooperation by contributing to this noble cause, which will allow Ajay Shanbhag to complete his treatment and lead a healthy life with his loved ones.
