Anu Kumar, a 43-year-old middle-aged man based out of Thrissur, Kerala, works with the Cochin Devaswom Board as a trumpet artist. He is married with two children aged three years and six years respectively and is the sole breadwinner for the family of four.

Anu Kumar has been detected with chronic renal disease coupled with acute hypertension. As a consequence of kidney failure, he is undergoing frequent dialysis sessions. The estimated cost for his present dialysis and treatment per month is Rs. 20,000. After a detailed consultation with the doctors at the Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi, he has been advised to get kidney transplantation done at the earliest. The cost of the Kidney transplantation at VPS Lakeshore Hospital will be Rs. 12,00,000/-( Rupees Twelve Lakhs only)
