Chetan Kumar is 31 years old and got married just last year. He was working as a cab driver but lost his job during the pandemic last year. Still, he was managing to earn his livelihood by doing plumbing and electrical work. Everyday life was balanced somehow until he started feeling body imbalance regularly a few weeks ago. He consulted the doctor at JSS Hospital Mysore to know the reason. After the recommended tests and MRI scans were performed, it was shocking to know that his left-brain stem is asymmetrically enlarged.

Chetan underwent tumour decompression surgery on 18-June-2021 under govt. scheme. Post-operation he was managed in ICU on ventilator support. Later, Histopathological Examination revealed that he has Glioblastoma (Giant cell) grade IV – (Brain Tumor final stages). Chetan is shifted to Bharat Cancer Hospital, Mysore, and immediate Radiation therapy is advised. Treatment and medicines will cost about Rs. 3,50,000 and the family is not in a position to afford this huge amount.

Chetan’s father ShantaRaju used to fall ill-health quite often for years. A fall in the bathroom 2 months back made things worse and ShantaRaju is completely bedridden now. Chetan’s mother was working in a factory with an earning of Rs. 8,000 per month. But, she has quit her job now to take care of the family. She is under huge sorrow now - with a bedridden husband and cancer-diagnosed son.

Lend a helping hand to start the required treatment immediately to save an earning member of this poor family.
