Chethan R Mane is a vibrant 16-year-oldfrom the serene town of Shivamogga. Like any other teenager, Chethan dreams of a bright future. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with Recurrent Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a severe form of liver cancer. His battle against this formidable adversary is ongoing at Father Muller Hospital in Mangalore.

Chethan's family, who belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) household, are struggling to make ends meet. His father, a daily wage laborer, works tirelessly to provide for the family, while his mother takes care of Chethan and his younger brother, who is still in school. The family’s financial condition is precarious, and the burden of Chethan’s treatment is overwhelming.

The cost of Chethan’s treatment, including immunotherapy with Atezolizumab and Bevacizumab every 21 days, has been estimated to be around Rs. 12 lakhs. This is a staggering amount for his family, who are doing everything in their power to support Chethan’s fight against cancer.
