Deepika, a 26-year-old young girl, from Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, has been diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukaemia (bone marrow produces too many white blood cells). She comes from a socio-economically disadvantaged background earlier her father used to work as driver currently her parents are at home to take care of her, Deepika has two sisters elder sister is married and younger sister is working in a local electrical shop and belongs to the BPL (below poverty line) strata and requests medical help.

After a detailed consultation with the specialist at HCG Cancer Hospital in Bangalore, she has been advised a bone marrow transplant. The approximate cost of this transplant surgery would amount to 35 lakhs.
