Miss Kamala, a 62-year-old woman from Mangalore, earns a livelihood by making hand-rolled cigarettes. This is a prevalent source of income for rural women in India. Kamala lives with her brother, who is a farmer by occupation.

Kamala had been diagnosed with Renal Cancer at the local hospital of Sullia earlier this year. Later she was shifted to AJ Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalore and is currently undergoing her treatment there. After a detailed consultation with the specialist, she has been advised to get Right Radical Nephrectomy surgery done at the earliest. The cost of this surgery is INR 75,000.

Kamala comes from a financially disadvantaged family and her loved ones are facing difficulties in gathering the required money for the treatment.

How Right To Live is helping?

Owing to her humble economic background, she needs financial assistance. Given the enormity of the cost associated with cancer treatment and subsequent surgery, considering the lack of resources in hand, Right To Live is helping the family to gather the required funds.

Please remember: 100% of your donation goes towards Kamala’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses since those costs are covered by trustees. The payment is entirely released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands.

Right To Live requests your kind cooperation by contributing to this noble cause, which will allow Kamala to complete her treatment and lead a healthy life with her loved ones.
