Prajwal, a 20-year-old student from Sullia, Dakshina Kannada district of state of Karnataka, had been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

Prajwal comes from a financially disadvantaged family. His father, a van driver, was the sole breadwinner of the family, but he lost his kidney recently due to ill health. Prajwal’s mother works in the nearby fields but does not keep well herself too.

Prajwal’s treatment has already cost INR 1,75,000 so far and after a detailed consultation with the specialist, he has been advised to get a Bone Marrow transplant at the Unity Hospital in Mangalore at the earliest. The cost of this surgery is INR 6,00,000.
