Prapthi, a 28-year-old girl, has been battling for life for years. At the age of 4, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and had been advised to take Insulin on a regular basis. In 2010, when her condition worsened, she was brought to Columbia Asia hospital in Bangalore. However, Prapthi had lost 90% of her eyesight by then due to acute diabetes. After further examination, she had been diagnosed with Kidney failure and had to undergo Dialysis 3 times a week amounting to Rs.60,000 a month including medicines.
After a detailed consultation with a specialist in Bangalore, she has been prescribed a combined Pancreas-Kidney transplant surgery soon which would cost around INR. 15,00,000.
Prapthi hailed from a financially sound family but soon their financial condition became a concern due to her treatment charges. Her father is a farmer and the only breadwinner in the family. They have exhausted all their savings and taken loans from relatives and friends already to cover their previous medical expenses. This time they requested to arrange funds for the treatment of their daughter.
How Right To Live is helping?
Owing to her humble economic background now, she needs financial assistance. Given the enormity of the cost associated with Transplantation and subsequent surgery, considering the lack of resources in hand, Right To Live is helping the family to gather the required fund.
Please remember: 100% of your donation goes to Prapthi’s treatment. We don’t use any part of donations for admin expenses since those costs are covered by trustees. The payment is entirely released to hospitals and not placed in patients’ hands.
Right To Live requests your kind cooperation by contributing to this noble cause, which will allow Prapthi to complete her treatment and lead a healthy life with her loved ones.
