Prapthi, a 28-year-old girl, has been battling for life for years. At the age of 4, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and had been advised to take Insulin on a regular basis. In 2010, when her condition worsened, she was brought to Columbia Asia hospital in Bangalore. However, Prapthi had lost 90% of her eyesight by then due to acute diabetes. After further examination, she had been diagnosed with Kidney failure and had to undergo Dialysis 3 times a week amounting to Rs.60,000 a month including medicines.

After a detailed consultation with a specialist in Bangalore, she has been prescribed a combined Pancreas-Kidney transplant surgery soon which would cost around INR. 15,00,000.

Prapthi hailed from a financially sound family but soon their financial condition became a concern due to her treatment charges. Her father is a farmer and the only breadwinner in the family. They have exhausted all their savings and taken loans from relatives and friends already to cover their previous medical expenses. This time they requested to arrange funds for the treatment of their daughter.
