14 Years old Swamy met with a horrific accident on 10th Aug-2021, a tractor driver under the influence of alcohol mowed down 3 school kids standing in a bus stand, and Swamy was one among them. 2 kids escaped with minor bruises while Swamy was badly injured and was critical; with help from a few villagers, he was admitted to SSM hospital in Hassan.

Swamy struggled for life and was in critical care for 2.5 months, underwent 2 complex surgeries, and is now recovering. With a head injury, he could barely recognize his parents and was advised to rest for a year.

Rajesh (Swamy's father) had to pledge his 1-acre land and took an additional loan to pay for the expenses. He will now need around INR 3,00,000 for Swamy's right-hand surgery, which isn't functional. Doctors had advised him to hold on to the hand surgery until his head injury was cured.

Monthly medical expenses are coming up to 12-13k so far. Rajesh, a humble father, working 12 hrs a day, has done everything possible to support his son and will need additional support to clear his loans and not get into further debt.
