Ansuman, a 8-year old boy, based out of Bangalore has been diagnosed with a case of accidental partial hanging which happened while he was playing with his friends and choked himself to unconsciousness with a belt. He is also suffering from obstructive pulmonary edema, which is a condition caused by excessive fluid in the lungs. The young boy also had a cardiac arrest earlier. He is currently intubated and is receiving the support of mechanical ventilation at St.John’s Medical College and Hospital.

According to the doctors’ advice, he requires continued ventilator support along with close monitoring of health status during his prolonged stay at the hospital.

Currently his medical bill has crossed the 10-lakh mark and considering his hospitalization and medicine, the expenses are amounting to almost Rs.40,000/day.
