Deeksha, a 5-year-old daughter of Mr. Senthil Kumar and Mrs. Sathya Senthil Kumar, is a resident of Vepillaihalli village, Palacode taluk in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. Deeksha has been suffering from a genetic blood disorder, Thalassemia Major(Stage V) and is surviving on a monthly blood transfusion. After a detailed consultation with a specialist at the Rela Hospital, Chennai, she has been advised to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplantation surgery.

Deeksha comes from a financially disadvantaged family, her father is the sole breadwinner of the family and works at a Dairy Company near their native village for a monthly salary of INR 15,000. The cost associated with the medical treatment before the transplant is INR 2,50,000. Thus, the family is now facing difficulties in gathering the required money for their daughter’s treatment.
